This typically involves a plank or series of planks and the causes can include expansion after installation moisture or flooding or problems with your subfloor among others.
Check the locking system.
The most common cause of peaking is a lack of expansion space between the laminate floor and the walls around the perimeter of the installation or a lack of expansion space between the laminate floor and laminate moldings.
Depending on the layout you might be able to fix this without taking up any of the flooring.
Might get 10 years out of it if you never spill any liquids on the floor and only damp mop.
If the flooring is damaged such as bubbled replace the damaged planks with new ones.
